Chandauli (UP): BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Saturday questioned the silence of Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi on the issues of price rise and inflation during campaigning.

"Why are they maintaining a silence on this most important issue of price rise and inflation", Singh asked at an election meeting here.

Terming Congress as the most corrupt party, he said a large number of scams have taken place under the Congress and named the multi-crore 2G spectrum allocation amounting to Rs 1,760 crores is the biggest scam of the party.

Criticising the BSP government on NRHM scam in Health sector, he said that nearly Rs 5,000 crores have been siphoned-off in Uttar Pradesh, which is tax payers' money.

Stating that this Scheme in the health sector started when Samajwadi party was in power in UP, he said that siphoning of funds started from the Samajwadi Party regime.

According to the CAG report the NRHM scheme was implemented from the year 2005 when Samajwadi party was in power.

On the issue of quota for Muslims, he said that no reservation should be given on the basis of religion which the Congress party is doing.

By doing this the Congress party is disrespecting the constitution of the country, he added.
