Scattered rains at isolated places in Himachal

Shimla: Monsoon remained weak in Himachal Pradesh today even as scattered rains occurred at isolated places lowering the mercury marginally in the state.

According to MeT office, Nadaun in Hamirpur district was wettest in the region with 24 mm rains, while Mandi and Bangana received 18 mm rains, followed by Shimla and Mehre 16 mm, Palampur 13 mm, Chelsea 11 mm , Baldwara 9 mm, Baijnath 7 mm , Chail?6 mm,?Nahan 5 mm and Dharamsala 3 mm.

Una was the hottest in the region with maximum temperature at 38.0 degrees Celsius, while Bhunter and Sundernagar recorded a high of 35.2 and 34.7 degrees Celsius, followed by Nahan 31.9, Solan 30.4, Dharamshala 29.6, Shimla 27.8, Manali 26.9 and Kalpa?26.4 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperatures dropped marginally to stay at 10.6 degrees Celsius in Keylong, 11.6 at Manali and 12.2 degrees Celsius at Kalpa.
Shimla recorded a low of 16.2 degrees Celsius, while Bhuntar and Palampur recorded minimum temperatures at 17.8 and 19.0 degrees Celsius, followed by Solan 19.2, Nahan 19.8, Sundernagar 20.1, Dharamsala 22 and Una 22.4 degrees Celsius.
The local MeT office has predicted light to moderate rains at isolated places during the next four days.
