Dehra Dun: Two men were arrested for
allegedly preparing fake driving licenses, registration
certificates and other documents related to vehicles at
Clement Town area here, police said.
During a routine checking at Saharanpur chowk last
evening, police arrested a car driver, identified as Irfaan,
for carrying two registration certificates (RCs) of the same
vehicle. During interrogation, the driver said he had obtained
the two RCs from Dilip, an agent with Regional Transport
Office here, they said.
Acting on the information, police raided Dilip`s house
and arrested him. They also recovered fake driving licenses,
RCs, fitness certificates of vehicles and transport permit of
several states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan,
Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
