War of words between BJP, Cong continues over package in HP

War of words between BJP and Cong over withdrawal of industrial package and injustice meted out to HP by the centre continued unabated as chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal made a blistering attack on Congress leaders.

Shimla: The war of words between BJP and
Congress over withdrawal of industrial package and injustice
meted out to Himachal Pradesh by the centre continued unabated
as chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal made a blistering attack
on Congress leades for seeking apology from the party.

Addressing a press conference here, Dhumal took
exception to the statement of leader of the opposition Vidya
Stokes and HPCC president Kaul Singh Thakur, asking the BJP to
tender an apology to the people for making false allegations
that the centre was discrimination against the hill state and
withdrawal of industrial package.

"Infact Congress should apologise for the injustice
suffered by the state since 1966," he added.
Having a dig at Union Commerce and Industry minister
Anand Sharma for claiming that the industrial package had not
been withdrawn, Dhumal said if it was so, why the Union
minister recommended to the UPA government to extend the
package upto March 2013.

He also chided the Congress leaders of making a false
propaganda that the BJP president had not endorsed the
agitation of Himachal BJP and said that Gadkari publically
announced the rally and also at the press conference that the
entire BJP was with Himachal in its fight for justice.

Dhumal said that the track record of Congress in
protecting the interests of the state had been dismal and most
of the problems faced by the state were its creation.
