New Delhi: Even as fresh details emerge in the horrific case of rape of a 27-year-old financial analyst by Uber cab driver Shiv Kumar Yadav, another woman has claimed that she had reported about the inappropriate behaviour of the same driver to the company just days before last week's incident.

In a series of tweets, Nidhi Shah, a US-based woman, said that she had hired a cab from the Uber company driven by the rape accused on November 26.

She alleged that the travel to her destination with Yadav “scared her” as he kept on staring at her through the rear view mirror making her uncomfortable.

She then lodged a complaint via email to the company which assured her that "they would check on him".

She even posted the picture of receipt from the travel on her Twitter account which has the name of Yadav and the response from Uber to her complaint.

Yadav is currently in police custody till Thursday for allegedly raping the 27-year-old woman in the Uber taxi she had booked to travel to her residence in Inderlok on Friday.

He slapped and threatened to insert a metal rod inside the victim and warned her against reporting the matter to authorities.
