AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's sister-in-law who had filed an FIR against him over sexual harassment has recorded her statement before a court on Sunday.
New Delhi: AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's sister-in-law who had filed an FIR against him over sexual harassment has recorded her statement before a court on Sunday.
According to the woman, she was molested at least five times in the last one-and-a-half years.
"Amanatullah Khan molested me once in a lift," the woman said in a statement before the court.
"Amanatullah approached me several times even in the presence of my husband. When I complained to my husband, he told me to do as Khan asked since he has been helping him in his businesses," the woman alleged in a statement.
She also submitted a CD and a pen drive to the police with a recording of her conversation with the MLA.
'Even my husband asked me to do as Khan said'
According to the woman, she has been staying in a rented accommodation in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area for the past four months due to a discord with her husband.
Her husband stays with his parents in Aligarh. She has already filed a divorce suit. She runs a boutique to fund her daughter's education.
The woman has also sought police protection as the MLA's men have been threatening her since Friday night.
Case registered against Khan
A case under IPC sections 354A (sexual harassment), 506 (criminal intimidation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) was registered against Khan and the woman's husband.
The woman had approached Jamia Nagar police station alleging that Khan had put pressure on her to get into a physical relationship with him.
