New Delhi: A war of words has erupted between actor-turned-politician Kirron Kher and Jawaharlal Nehru University students union president Kanhaiya Kumar for the latter's remark that there was a difference between the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and the 2002 Gujarat riots.

Kirron Kher, treading her husband Anupam Kher's stance, on Tuesday posted a series of tweets, calling Kanhaiya’s statement disgraceful and asked if his conscience is dead.

On Thursday, Kanhaiya responded to the Bharatiya Janata Party MP by saying:

 

Under fire over his comments, Kanhaiya on Wednesday appeared to be in a damaging control mode and said he would fight against every massacre.

Earlier, Kirron Kher's husband, Anupam Kher, lambasted at JNU students, including Kanhaiya Kumar, who were arrested in a sedition case.
