New Delhi: Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani has dedicated a six-minute song to his 'action hero' Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a newspaper report said on Friday.
According to a report published in 'The Times of India', the song has been composed by the same team, which created Bharatiya Janata Party's 2014 election campaign song "Har, Har Modi; ghar, ghar Modi".
The song will be released on the Independence Day.
The song urges the youth to fullfill Mahatma Gandhi and PM Narendra Modi's dreams.
"Jo sapna dekha Baapu Modi ne, usse mil jul kar humein sach kar dikhana hai ..." the lyrics say.
Speaking to the TOI, Nihalani said that the song is dedicated to the prime minister as no other leader has ever given such direct benefits to the people through his actions.
The song would highlight PM Modi's ambitious projects like Make in India, Digital India, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Manish Tewari has slammed Nihalani by saying that a person who is occupying the top post of CBFC should refrain from having political affiliations.
Nihalani, however, justified his decision, saying that the song has been composed for the PM and not for any political party.
Earlier, during his appointment as the CBFC chief, Nihalani - a noted filmmaker - had said that he was proud to be a "BJP person" and called Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his "action hero".
Pahlaj, 65, has produced films like "Aankhen", "Talaash: The Hunt Begins ..." and "Shola Aur Shabnam" in his career.
