AIFB asks Centre to declassify documents related to Netaji

All India Forward Block on Tuesday asked the Central government to declassify the files related to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and said it will launch a nationwide campaign if the demand is not met.

Rupnagar (Pb): All India Forward Block on Tuesday asked the Central government to declassify the files related to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and said it will launch a nationwide campaign if the demand is not met.

Party national secretary V P Saini also criticised the decision of the Prime Minister Office (PMO) for not de-classifying the documents related to Netaji.

Expressing shock over the "U-turn" of the Narendra Modi government, he said when the BJP was in the opposition then senior leaders of the party had supported the demand of the declassification of the classified files related to Netaji's disappearance.

"This U-turn has disappointed the followers of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose," he added.

He said if the government did not declassify the documents related to Netaji, a nationwide campaign would be launched.
