Patna: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) fears that there may be a conspiracy behind the malfunctioning of a lift in Bihar state guest house in which party president Amit Shah got stuck for around 30 minutes.
Senior party leader Dr CP Thakur slammed the Nitish Kumar-led state government for not providing adequate facilities and help to the BJP president during his visit to Bihar.
Thakur said that the episode may be a conspiracy to target Shah.
Shah along with BJP's party's Bihar in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, Saudan Singh and two others got stuck in a lift at around 11:15 pm yesterday.
BJP worker Sanjay, who was also inside the lift, said, “We talked to a lot of people on phone but no one from the state government came to help.”
Party workers and CISF personnel guarding Amit Shah then broke open the lift to rescuse us, he added.
Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to the state to oversee preparations for the assembly elections.
