Indore: This story about disrespecting a woman that too by her own husband has come when the world is celebrating International Women's Day.

A man man in Madhya Pradesh's Indore opted to sell off his wife for one lakh rupees and posted the offer along with her photograph on Facebook!

The woman says that her husband has a habit of borrowing money. 

"It was due to this habit that we moved to Indore from Sanawad in Khargone district but he started borrowing money in this city as well; I then forced him out of the house when he did not mend his ways," the woman said.

Reportedly, the husband opted to sell off his wife as he was unable to pay back borrowed money.

Acting on the complaint by the woman, police have registered a case against her husband Dileep, from Khargone district, under Indian Penal Code Section 509 for disrespecting a woman.
