Ashley Madison data leak: Delhi tops adultery list, Mumbai close second

Adultery website Ashley Madison's data leak now has a lot of reasons for Indians to worry about! And the lot that needs to be on its toes is of Delhiites who, as per reports, were the top users among habitants of Indian cities who were members of the extramarital affairs website.

New Delhi: Adultery website Ashley Madison's data leak now has a lot of reasons for Indians to worry about! And the lot that needs to be on its toes is of Delhiites who, as per reports, were the top users among habitants of Indian cities who were members of the extramarital affairs website.

Hackers have managed to gain access to details of some 300 million users of Ashley Madison and they have been releasing those details, including e-mail IDs of users, on Internet.

In a bid to make sense of this data, technology firm Tecnilogica has come up with an interactive world map that shows how many people are registered on Ashley Madison, reports Ahmedabad Mirror.

As per the data, following is the citywise list of Indian users registered with the adultery website:

  1. Delhi - 38,620 users
  2. Mumbai – 32,888
  3. Chennai – 16,355
  4. Bengaluru – 16,267
  5. Hyderabad – 12,548
  6. Kolkata – 11,751
  7. Pune - 9,738

Already, the data leak has led to divorce cases being filed across the world. What's the reaction in Delhi and other Indian cities, we will have to wait and find out!
