New Delhi: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence here, an official statement said.
While the exact nature of the meeting was not known, Ramdev told reporters outside the Prime Minister's House that they discussed "issues of national importance".
It may be recalled that earlier after the NDA government had submitted 627 names of foreign bank account holders to the Supreme Court, Baba Ramdev had said that he doesn’t doubt Narendra Modi government's intention on the issue of black money.
The yoga guru turned activist, who had launched a nationwide campaign against black money, had also suggested that the government should encourage people to bring the money back on their own by giving them immunity from prosecution.
Ramdev is demanding from a long time that black money stashed in foreign banks be declared as a national property by the government of India.
