Delhi: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said on Tuesday that he had received a letter threatening to kill him.

The letter supposedly asks him to save himself if he can and has been sent to the BJP MP for commenting on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's absence during the Budget Session.

Tiwari said that the letter had been delivered at his official residence.

“Received a letter by post in my Delhi residence threatening to kill me. It was regarding my comments on Rahul’s absence,” he told ANI.

Tiwari has written to the Home Ministry in this regard.

At the same time he told the press that he would approach Delhi Police to register an FIR tomorrow.

“I am currently in Varanasi and will return to Delhi tomorrow and file an FIR," he said, as per PTI.

The Congress VP is on a sabbatical since the start of the Budget session of Parliament on February 23.
