Bombs hurled, 5 injured

Barasat: Five persons, including a woman, were injured when a group of miscreants hurled bombs at Bansbagan area under Titagarh police station in North 24 Parganas district tonight, the police said.

It is still not clear why the bombs were hurled there, the police said.

The injured were admitted to hospital.

Meanwhile, in another incident in the district today, one person was shot at near Barrackpore railway station by a miscreants, the police said.

The victim was in a tea stall when he was shot at. He was hospitalised.
