Phagwara: BSP national general secretary Narendra Kashyap on Saturday said accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "doublespeak" over the issue of India's relation with Pakistan and said his meeting with his counterpart Nawaz Sharif did not "served any purpose".
"Given the present scenario, Modi's meeting with Sharif will neither serve any purpose nor benefit India. Modi has declared umpteen times that he will not hold any dialogue with Pakistan's PM till Pakistan stopped violation of ceasefire at the international border and ended its unprovoked attacks on Indian army jawans.
"But nothing on the ground has changed. Pakistan is violating the ceasefire blatantly by firing at our jawans. So why Modi has met Sharif and promised to resume dialogue? His meeting has not gone down well with countrymen," Kashyap alleged here.
