CISCE ICSE Class 10, ISC Class 12 Examinations Results 2016 to be announced on May 6 at 3 pm

New Delhi: The ‪‪Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations‬‬ (CISCE) will announce the results of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class X and Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class XII examinations on May 6.

The results this year are being announced two weeks earlier than previous years.

The ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 examinations are conducted by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations.

The CISCE had this year for the first time used the Live Ink Character Recognition (LICR) technology in exams which has now helped in fast compilation of results.

“The Council will announce the results at 3 pm on May 6. We are the first Examination Board in the world to introduce usage of LICR technology,” a statement by CISEC Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon said.

As per PTI, LICR captures and digitises marks entered on the top-sheets of answer scripts, and instantly encrypts and transfers the captured data to the Council’s cloud based servers directly from the evaluation centres.

“This significantly reduced the time required for compilation of results as the system automatically totals the marks awarded by the Examiners and also applies the question-paper rubrics, hence eliminating any possibility of manual totalling and manual rubric application errors,” the statement said.

The results can be accessed on CISCE's career portal as well as through SMS.

To receive the ICSE or ISC results by SMS, the candidate will be required to type ICSE or ISC followed by their seven digit unique ID code and send the message to 09248082883.
