Clash: Over 15 people arrested; looted service arms recovered

More than 15 people were arrested in connection with a group clash at Dhindawli village here last evening and three service arms looted from cops have been recovered, police said.

Muzaffarnagar: More than 15 people were arrested in connection with a group clash at Dhindawli village here last evening and three service arms looted from cops have been recovered, police said.

Yesterday, several people including four police officers were injured when they were attacked by a group who also snatched two revolvers and a rifle from police party at Dhindawli village here, police said.

The incident occurred during a clash between two Dalit groups under Shahpur Police Station area.

Four policemen including sub-inspector K P Singh, constable Adesh Kumar and home guard Chanderlal, who reached the spot, were injured in the attack and admitted to the hospital, they said.

Security was beefed up in the area, SSP Bablu Kumar said.
