Congress claims Smriti Irani’s sacking imminent

New Delhi: The Congress Party on Friday claimed that there are whispers about HRD Minister Smriti Irani being sacked from the Union Council of Ministers for her ‘incompetence’.

“We have our sympathies for Smriti Irani. She is trying to find lost political ground. Smriti Irani was recently sacked from the National Executive by Amit Shah. There are whispers about either her being dropped altogether from the Modi Ministry or her portfolio being changed for her incompetence,” said Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala.

Surjewala’s remarks come after Irani and the Gandhi family’s ongoing public spat, which also spilled into a twitter ‘war’ between the two. (ANI)
