New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday alleged that the Congress Party was trying to mislead the nation over Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s foreign tours and said the government led by him has shown transparency and united all.

BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao, who was reacting to the Congress leader Kapil Sibal`s comments that Prime Minister Modi `speaks without applying the mind`, said the former union minister should instead give advice to his party vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

"They are trying to mislead the country. This government has shown what transparency means and Prime Minister Modi is the one who has united everyone after Mahatama Gandhi," said Narasimha Rao.

"However, the Congress doesn`t understand this. Instead, they then make silly comments about the Prime Minister`s important foreign visits," he added.

Sibal had earlier accused Prime Minister Modi of speaking "without applying any thought" and also said that commenting without checking facts had become his habit.

He attacked the Prime Minister over his statement in Seoul where he had, while addressing people of Indian origin, said that earlier people would think what sins had they committed to have been born in India.
