Jaipur: Accusing of Narendra Modi-led NDA government of not fulfilling promises made to people during elections, Congress today said that the country still awaits a new economic blueprint as promised by the party.

"A year has passed but the new 'Economic Blueprint' has not come yet. Narendra Modi came to power riding on the promise of 'achche din (good days), good governance, ease of doing business, creation of 10 crore jobs in five years and many more but nothing concrete was done in the last one year to fulfill the promises," party spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohil said.

He said Congress had laid solid economic foundation and the country witnessed highest economic growth during the 10 years of UPA rule, despite global recession. Gohil also said CAG has highlighted irregularities and corruption in the Gujarat government in its report.

"Gujarat has been a developed state for a long period for its own reasons like fertile land, cost line, business minded people and it developed well before Modi became the CM. What he did was just marketing?" he said.

Speaking on Sohrabuddin fake encounters case of Gujarat, in which BJP president Amit Shah was discharged by a CBI court last year, Gohil said that the CBI should have been challenged the order in High Court.

He said it was doubtful that a judge hearing the Amit Shah case in the CBI court was transferred and the next judge hearing the case died in a government rest house in Nagpur in December last year.

"These are some facts which should be brought to the knowledge of the Supreme Court," he said.
