New Delhi: Minister of State for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Wednesday pledged to provide opportunities of development to minority communities through the principles of good governance.

"The Modi government is committed to ensure that development reaches one and all," Naqvi said while emphasizing on good governance for growth and development.

"Development can't take place by merely sitting in the office or from the ministry. We need to work at the ground level," he added.

The Minister of State for Minority and Parliamentary Affairs further asserted that first hand information needs to be collected to address the various problems of the people.

"There are many policies but this does not reach the common man due to the existence of middlemen," he said.

Taking on the opposition, Naqvi alleged that the former has no issues.

"Our government is moving swiftly on the path of good governance, development and providing opportunities of employment to all," he added when asked about the opposition raising questions about the government's Minority Mission drive.
