DMK chief Karunanidhi felicitates Sathyarthi, Malala

DMK president M Karunanidhi on Saturday greeted Indian and Pakistani child rights activists Kailash Sathyarthi and Malala Yousafzai for winning the coveted Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2014.

Chennai: DMK president M Karunanidhi on Saturday greeted Indian and Pakistani child rights activists Kailash Sathyarthi and Malala Yousafzai for winning the coveted Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2014.

Praising Sathyarthi for his efforts in rescuing child labours, he said the activist was the seventh Indian to win the honour.

"I extend my greetings to Sathyarthi on behalf of DMK," he said in a statement.

He also lauded Malala for sharing the nobel prize, saying she had won it at a very young age.
