Rahul today mounted a blistering attack on the Modi government saying the RSS and its ideologues have a "larger scheme" of "undermining" educational, bureaucratic and judicial systems and "bullying" critics as "anti-national" and "anti-Hindu".
The Congress VP asked the students as to why was the government disturbed by their protests and then said that a person who was mediocre had been put on top of people who don't want to be mediocre.
"The RSS and its wings promote mediocrity. I have seen this everywhere," Rahul Gandhi told agitating students.
FTII students have been on strike since June 12 protesting against the appointment of Chauhan as chairperson of the society along with four other members.
They have alleged that Chauhan along with four others lack credentials and that their appointments are due to their affiliations to RSS and BJP.
