New Delhi: Doordarshan Deputy Director Anurag Rastogi died on Saturday after he was hit by a speeding car while on his morning walk, police said

The incident was reported from Anand Vihar area in east Delhi around 6 am.

The car driver, identified as Manish Tandan, 24, also received serious injuries in the accident and is battling for his life in Guru Teg Bahadur hospital.

Police said that Tandan lost his control over the car he was travelling in and collided with a tree before hitting Rastogi, 50, who lived with his family in Vigyan Vihar area.
