New Delhi: Day-by-day it is becoming tougher to decide that whose pressure worked on government to rollback EPF tax decision!

A day after Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi took the credit for EPF tax rollback, his brother-in-law too has come out to say that 'have done my best to voice each persons views, through my platform'.

Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra took to social networking website Facebook to express his views on EPF tax rollback.

"I have earned my sweets !! Congratulations to all on the roll back of EPF. Ate sweets at the offices and at the gym, that the attendants had carried for me. Their earnings they were going to lose will be saved now, for a good future (sic)," Robert Vadra wrote.

"Have done my best to voice each persons views, through my platform. Your support of likes and comments as well, made sure the media carried the message till the government, to make the change.United we are a force, divided we will be unheard ...Always here for you all. (sic)," Robert Vadra added in the Facebook post.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had on Tuesday completely rolled back the controversial proposal to tax the employees' provident fund (EPF) at the time of withdrawal.

Earlier, in his Budget for 2016-17, Jaitley had proposed to tax 60 per cent of the corpus of the EPF contributions created after April 1, 2016 at the time of withdrawal. He proposed to exempt these from income tax if the amount was invested in pension annuity scheme.
