Conversion row: 'Every year over 8 lakh Hindus become either Christians or Muslim'

Guwahati: A Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader has made an astonishing claim about religious conversion of Hindus.

The VHP's national general secretary Y Raghavulu has claimed that every year over eight lakh Hindus are being converted to other religions.

According to a TOI report, Y Raghavulu has said eight lakh Hindus were converted to either Christianity or Islam.

"Religious conversion of Hindus is a threat to India's integrity; it is taking place in huge numbers," Raghavulu alleged.

Raghavulu's comments about conversion of Hindus came during a function organised to felicitate veteran VHP leader Mohanlal Agarwal in Guwahati  on Sunday.
