New Delhi: As India celebrates its 66th Republic Day on Monday, Google marked the occasion with a colourful doodle on its India homepage.

The doodle shows a tableau decorated with flowers passing through the Rajpath as part of the annual Republic Day parade. Showcased on the tableau are India Gate and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, and the path between the two monuments.

A man and a woman, colourfully dressed in Indian attire, are seen waving to the audience from the tableau, while three others walk along.

Also inscribed on the tableau in yellow colour is the Google logo.

US President Barack Obama is the chief guest at this year's Republic Day celebrations and he will witness India's military might as well as cultural heritage during the parade today.
