Kanpur: Congress leader Rajeev Shukla on Sunday said the Haryana government was "responsible" for the violence during the Jat agitation in the state and that the situation could have been averted had they taken strong action right from the beginning.
"Common man and traders in Haryana are facing a lot of problems today. The people have been bamboozled. The state government has failed on all fronts," he said on the sidelines of a sports event here.
He demanded strong action against those involved in alleged gang-rape and molestation in Murthal.
