Panaji: After the successful initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to connect with millions of Indians through All India Radio, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will on Friday go live on AIR as well as Doordarshan to answer queries from the audience.
This will be his first interaction since he was inducted into the Union Cabinet on November 09.
Parrikar will participate in a live phone-in-programme of Panaji Doordarshan between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm.
However, unlike Modi, whose "Mann ki Baat" was a monologue on radio, the former Goa chief minister will take queries from the audience live and respond to them immediately.
The phone-in session will be broadcast live both on AIR's FM station Rainbow and Doordarshan.
This, however, will be a one-off interaction between the newly-appointed defence minister and the audience.
Modi's monthly radio talk "Mann ki Baat", where he speaks for over 15 minutes about his thoughts, musings and vision for the country, has already hit a popular note.
