Mumbai: Days after being discharged from a hospital where she was undergoing treatment after a car crash, BJP's MP from Mathura Hema Malini on Wednesday said her heart goes out to the two-year-old girl who was killed in the accident in Rajasthan.
She, however, said that if the girl's father had followed the traffic rules, then the accident could have been averted.
Taking to microblogging website Twitter, the actor-politician said:
My heart goes out to the child who unnecessarily lost her life and the family members who have been injured in the accident. Contd

Her driver, Mahesh Thakur, was arrested on charges of rash driving and causing death by negligence besides other offences. Thakur was granted bail later.
Malini's apparently speeding sedan rammed into another car coming from the opposite direction, leaving a two-year-old child in that vehicle dead and four others injured, including the girl's parents. The accident took place near Dausa, over 50 km from Jaipur.
