New Delhi: The Congress on Wednesday disowned its leader Jagdish Sharma who embarrassed Rahul Gandhi by posting his pics on Twitter.
Amid criticism over Rahul's 'sabbatical', Sharma posted the pictures on Twitter and claimed the party vice president was in Uttarakhand and not abroad, as being speculated.
However, Rahul's office denied the leader was in Uttarakhand.
Senior party leader PC Chacko even claimed that Sharma had nothing to do with the party.
This man has nothing to do with Congress or the Gandhi family, Chacko told ANI.
“How come he is issuing a statement about our vice president about which I do not know,” he added.
Sharma claims on his Twitter account he is national vice president, Indian National Trade Union Congress.
