New Delhi: The Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2016 for admissions to integrated PhD Degree Programmes at IISc Bangalore and MSc (two years), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, MSc MTech, and other Post-Bachelor Degree Programmes at IITs will be conducted by the IIT-Madras on February 7 next year.
According to reports, the aspirants need to register themselves for the JAM 2016 exams registration for which commences from September 2 onwards.
Approximately 1629 seats currently vacant at various IITs and IIScs will be filled by the JAM 2016 exams. The online test for JAM 2016 will be held at various centres across the country and the results will be declared on March 23, 2016.
Educational qualification: Those willing to appear in the exam should have completed graduation with at least 55% marks (50 percent for SC/ST/OBC category candidates).
There will be total 7 papers for the JAM 2016 exam namely - Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics.
The online registration begins from September 2
The last date for registration is October 14
The date for JAM 2016 exam is February 7
The results will be announced on March 23
