JEE (Advanced) 2015 Results declared; Satvat Jagwani tops exam, Krati Tiwari first among girls

New Delhi: The results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2015 have been declared on June 17 (Wednesday).

As per the summary of the results available on official website, a total of 26,456 candidates have cleared the exams. While 124,741 candidates had registered for the exams, a total of 117,238 had appeared for both Paper 1 and 2.

In total 23,407 boys and 3,049 girls have cleared the prestigious exam.

Satvat Jagwani from Satna, Madhya Pradesh, has topped the exam scoring 469 marks out of 504. Janak Agrawal and Mukesh Pareekh, both from Indore, have bagged the second and third position respectively.

Krati Tiwari from Indore has topped the exam among girls. Her all-India rank is AIR 47.

Among the regions, Bombay has topped with 6,838 students clearing the exam. Madras region came second with 4,928 students cracking the exam, while Delhi region finished third with 4,511.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is an all India level entrance examination that is held for admissions in premier engineering colleges in the country like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

IITs are located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Ropar, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Jodhpur, Indore, Mandi and Patna.

Candidates who appeared for JEE Advanced 2015 had first cleared the JEE Main examination to become eligible for it.
