New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is shamelessly indulging in the politics of `spit and run`, adding the AAP supremo has failed to deliver on the promises made to the people.
BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh, who was reacting to Kejriwal`s criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal, said the Delhi Chief Minister`s policy or politics has been of `spit and run`.
"We must not forget that he has said that they day he will become the Chief Minister, he will arrest Sheila Dikshit and Mr. Salman Khurshid and he will not be scared. What has happened Mr. Arvind Kejriwal? Have you gone scared against Sheila Dikshit and Salman Khurshid?" Singh asked.
"And your intention is of `spit and run` and shamelessly you follow that practice as a politician," he added.
Accusing the BJP and the Congress of being hand-in-glove in the helicopter scam, Kejriwal claimed the Central Government had `done nothing on the AgustaWestland case for the past two years and the Prime Minister, who came to power promising action against the corrupt, was now `saving the corrupt`.
"The court in Italy promptly punished the culprits in the helicopter scam. What stops the Narendra Modi government from acting against the culprits in India?" asked Kejriwal at a rally in Jantar Mantar yesterday."
The Italian court order also has names of Sonia Gandhi, Ahmed Patel, certain officers and Congressmen, but Modi is not able to gather enough courage to arrest Sonia Gandhi, to ask her even two questions, to interrogate her. Modi ji you have been made Prime Minister to take action not to leave the task to the Italy court. I want to ask Modi ji why he is scared of her?" he added.
