New Delhi: The suspension of BJP leader Kirti Azad from the party seems to have ruffled a few more feathers other than of Shatrughan Sinha and the Opposition. A report on Friday claimed that BJP's ideological mentor RSS is upset with the party leadership over handling of Azad's affair.
"We were not consulted on the issue which was not at all political. And it seems the party acted in haste succumbing to pressure from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)," a senior RSS leader was quoted as saying by NDTV.
The RSS opines that since the DDCA issue had nothing to do with the government, it could have been tackled in a different manner.
"It's surprising why an issue between two BJP leaders was not sorted out by BJP presidents over the last eight years," NDTV further quoted the leader.
"That's not how a MP (Member of Parliament) should conduct himself but such things happen if the party brass ignores pending issues," the RSS leader said.
