New Delhi: Continuing with his revelations in the planning and execution of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks , terrorist David Headley on day 2 said that he was asked by Pakistan's ISI to recruit spies from Indian Army. 

While testifying before a special TADA court in Mumbai on Tuesday, Headley said that Lashkar-e-Toiba, Hizbul Mujahideen and and Jaish-e-Mohammed worked under United Jihad Council and their only motto is to unleash a proxy war against India.  

While replying to the questions from prosecutors, Headley also narrated his several meetings with Pakistani Army and ISI officials.

In another revelation, he told that Lashkar dropped the plan to attack Indian defence scientist at Mumbai's Hotel Taj in 2007 as the arms and ammunitions could not reach on time.

Highlights of Headley's testimony on day 2:

1. I got permission from Dr Rana to set up my office in Mumbai. 

2. I visited Taj Hotel (Mumbai) on Sep 14, 2006 and left from hotel on September 28,2006. Bashir Sheikh, who was a friend of Dr Rana, came to pick me up from Mumbai Airport where I met him for the first time. I didn't know Bashir Sheikh prior to this Mumbai visit. During my stay, I conducted surveillance in Taj Hotel (Mumbai) many times. Conducted surveillance of the hotel's 2nd floor when I stayed with my wife Faiza.

3. On my return, I gave the videography of second floor of Taj Hotel (Mumbai) to Sajid Mir (LeT) and Major Iqbal. 

4. I was asked by Sajid Mir (LeT) to specifically conduct a surveillance of Siddhivinayak Temple. 

4. Multiple targets for the included Taj Mahal Palace Hotel (Mumbai), Naval, Air station, Maharashtra Police state headquarters, Oberoi Hotel and CST.  This included the video of Leopold cafe, Colaba Police Station and shops and Restaurants which are on the same road.

6. During my surveillance in Mumbai, I used GPS device to store the locations. The device was provided to me by Sajid Mir (LeT) and Abu Khafa, so that I could save various locations including locations in Arabian Sea. After my surveillance in Mumbai, I handed over the GPS device to Sajid Mir (LeT).

7. In early 2006, I met Major Iqbal for the 1st time at some house in Lahore. In this meeting, a Colonel from Pak Army was also present.

8. Lashkar had also planned to target Indian defence scientist during a conferecne at Mumbai's Hotel Taj in 2007, a year ahead of the 26/11 attacks. The attack could not take place as the meeting was cancelled.

9. My wife Faiza lodged a complaint in US Assembly (Islamabad) that I was involved in terrorist activities with LeT. 

10. I met Abdul Rahman Pasha for first time in a mosque in Lahore in early 2003.

11. I met Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Mazhar hundred miles away from South Lahore in October 2003​

12. LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen are working under United Jihad council. All these are terrorist organizations in Pakistan and working against India.

13. I met Zakiur Rehman LakhvI for the 1st time in 2003 in Muzaffarabad (PoK)  at headquarters of LeT.

16. In a 2006 meeting attended by Sajid Mir, Muzamil, Abu Khafa and me, it was decided that I should go to India.

17. In Nov-Dec 2007, a meeting took place in Muzaffarabad (PoK) which was attended by Sajid Mir, Abu Khafa and me (David Headley). In this meeting, they assigned me the task of conducting recce of Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai as they wanted to attack it.

18. In 2007, LeT decided to conduct terror attack in Mumbai.

Earlier on Monday, Headley, while answering 40 questions posed by prosecut0rs, made a series of revelations exposing Pakistan and Lashkar's role in planning executing 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Headley, who was pardoned by the court after he agreed to turn approver in connection with the 26/11 trials, testified in court via video conferencing.

The prosecution team was headed Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam and well known criminal lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani represented Headley before the special TADA court.
