Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the 10th World Hindi Summit, that began in the Madhya Pradesh capital.

The "Vishwa Hindi Sammelan", that will conclude on September 12, will also be attended by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The Lal Parade Ground has been named Makhanlal Chaturvedi Nagar after the noted Hindi journalist, while the main venue has been named after writer Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.

Experts on Hindi will be honoured during the concluding function, to be attended by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Over 5,000 people from across India and abroad are expected to participate.
