Modi visits Paswan's residence to celebrate Makar Sankranti

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many of his cabinet colleagues today attended an event organised by LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan to celebrate 'Makar Sankranti' festival.



New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many of his cabinet colleagues today attended an event organised by LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan to celebrate 'Makar Sankranti' festival.

Modi visited Paswan's residence to participate in the "Chuda Dahi Bhoj" on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. He greeted Paswan's family and a large number of people who had gathered on the occasion.

Paswan was seen personally serving the dish to Modi.

"Modiji wished all of us on the occasion of the festival. He had 'Chuda Dahi' (beaten rice flakes with yogurt)," Paswan told reporters.

Besides Modi, the event was attended by senior BJP leader L K Advani, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra among others.

Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth and other senior Food Ministry officials were also present.
