New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday termed the one-year rule of Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre as "a total failure".

"It's a total failure in one year," the Congress Chief Minister said here while responding to queries about the performance of BJP led government at the Centre during the last one year.

He further said that the Narendra Modi government did not keep up the promises made to the people of the country.

"Modi's government has not kept up the promises, which they have made to people of the country," Siddaramaiah added.

Narendra Modi led BJP stormed to power at the Centre with a "triple century" last year, giving NDA an unexpected 336 seats in the Lok Sabha election and BJP an absolute majority for the first time.

The party will complete one year in office on May 26.
