New Delhi: Amid ongoing cold war within Samajwadi Party, the party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday took a big decision.

Mulayam Singh Yadav has appointed Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh as national general secretary of Samajwadi Party.

Noteworthy, the party leaders had blamed 'outsider' Amar Singh for the crisis within the party.

Mulayam made the big announcement through a handwritten letter.

The feud had spilled into the open after the UP Chief Minister stripped Shivpal Yadav of key ministerial portfolios on September 13, hours after he was replaced with Shivpal as the party’s state unit chief by his father.
