New Delhi: The Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan (BMMA) on Monday said it will use the holy month of Ramadan to step up its campaign to ban triple talaq and "nikah halala"

"We (appeal) to the Muslim community to do a good deed by supporting the campaign for abolition as a contribution to the lives of their sisters," a statement by the group said.

"As part of this campaign, we will release a story daily about a Muslim woman who has suffered triple talaq. She will herself narrate her story which will be uploaded daily on our Facebook page. We will seek the help and support of the community to end this ill practice," it said.
