New Delhi: Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's concern over Hindu and Muslim harmony, Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday praised PM for breaking his silence to suppress the communal tensions brewing after the recent Dadri lynching incident.
Omar took to Twitter and wrote, “It took a few days but finally our PM has broken his silence. We didn't get an outright condemnation but something better than nothing.”
Addressing a rally at Samastipur in Bihar, PM Modi said Hindus and Muslims should work together to fight poverty.
He further asked people to ignore controversial statements made by politicians and said they are doing so for political gains.
