New Delhi: Days after PM Narendra Modi made 'one nation, one poll' proposal in an interview to a private TV channel, President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday backed the proposal of joint elections.
President Pranab Mukherjee has said, "Election Commission can put its mind in changing the Code Of Conduct.", according to CNN-News18.
Supporting the PM's proposal on common polls, the President has backed the electoral reforms.
The President made these remarks while addressing a programme on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
It was proposed that there should be one general election in which all the states go to election together.
