New Delhi: Major General (Retired) Satbir Singh on Thursday met Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhag to discuss their demand of `One Rank, One Pension` (OROP) although there was no meeting with the government.

Speaking to the media, Singh said, "There was no meeting with the government today. I just met the Army Chief although there is no assurance from the government. The protest will continue and we may go for second phase of protest but we will wait until tomorrow. Injustice done to soldiers must be undone."

Hundreds of ex-servicemen are protesting at Jantar Mantar against the delay in implementation of the `One Rank, One Pension` (OROP) policy.

The protest was organised by Indian ex-servicemen Movement (IESM). The IESM had warned last week that if their demands were not met, they would agitate and go on a hunger strike.
