New Delhi: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday hit out at the Congress over its leaders giving undue respect to terrorists like Afzal Guru and Osama bin Laden.

While taking a dig at Digvijay Singh and Randeep Surjewala for addressing the terrorists as "Osama ji", Afzal Guru 'Ji', the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader questioned the grand old party saying are these the culture and ethos of the Congress.

While addressing a press meet here, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala on Monday not only termed Afzal Guru as 'Ji' but also said that the 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru had attacked the 'Supreme Court'.

Surjewala was addressing the media on the ongoing issue of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) row and said that if we did not trust our constitutional process then we would not have given life sentence to Afzal Guru after exhausting all the legal provisions he had.

In 2013, Digvijay addressed Osama bin Laden, as Osama `ji`.
