New Delhi: In a major worry for Indian security agencies, Pakistan-based terrorists are expected to try and infiltrate through Rajasthan and Gujarat border, a report said on Wednesday.

The Border Security Force (BDF) has been put on alert and the villagers living in the border areas are being briefed about the possible infiltration.

According to a AAJ Tak report, the terrorists have chosen to infiltrate through the above mentioned states as the security has been heightened across the border areas in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

IG (BSF) Rajasthan Frontier, BR Meghwal on Tuesday said that heavy movement have been noticed in the adjoining areas of Ganganagar and Jaisalmer.

The phone calls from across the border are being tracked and the state police has also been alerted.

The infiltration attempts come as India and Pakistan are locked in a diplomatic war of words over a deadly unrest in the Kashmir Valley and soon after the Sunday attack on military base close to the de facto border that divides the state between the two neighbours.

In one of the deadliest attacks on the Army in the recent years, 18 jawans were killed and over 20 others injured as heavily armed suspected Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militants, stormed an Army base at Uri town in north Kashmir's Baramulla district in the wee hours on Sunday.
