Pakistani terrorist Naved's aide involved in Udhampur terror attack nabbed in Gujarat?

Ahmedabad: The Tapi Special Operation Group detained two persons on Wednesday, one of who happens to resemble the sketch of the person that was released by NIA yesterday.

The two were held at Songadh check-post on Gujarat-Maharashtra border in Tapi district.

The two suspects have been handed over to the Gujarat ATS, as per ANI.

"Two suspects who belong to Kashmir have been detained from Tapi District. Face and features of one of them are similar to a person in sketches of two suspects released by the NIA recently," said the superintendent of police, Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad, Himanshu Shukla, as per PTI.

However, Shukla added, "So far there is nothing to say that they are terrorists. Till now we can say there is no material to say that they are involved in terrorist activities."

NIA had released sketches of two people who were absconding accomplices of Pakistani terrorist Mohammad Naved Yakub who was captured after the Udhampur attack.

The NIA had said yesterday that it had declared the reward of Rs 5 lakh each for Zarghan alias Mohammed Bhai aged about 38-40 years and Abu Okasha aged about 17-18 years.

"These accused persons are accomplices of Mohammad Naved alias Usman who was caught alive and accused of attacking a BSF convoy in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir on August 5, 2015. They have crossed over into the Indian territory with the intention to commit terrorist attack," the NIA had said, as per PTI.

The agency had said any person from public, who will give any fruitful, reliable information about the whereabouts of these terrorists leading to their arrest will be rewarded and their identities will be kept secret.
