  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party parliamentary board ahead of the session and is likely to discuss issues related to Land Bill.

  • He added that while 77 ordinances were issued during Jawaharlal Nehru's time, as many as 77 ordinances were issued during six years of Indira Gandhi's regime, when three ordinances were issued every two months and 35 ordinances were issued during Rajiv Gandhi's time, the PTI reported.
  • BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi says that  Congress is repeating lies. We are with country's farmers, poor will not budge from our stand. 
  • PM Narendra Modi will hold discussions with senior ministers including Naidu, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Finnace Minister Arun Jaitley over Land Bill in the afternoon, according to news report.
  • Opposition on Tuesday attacked the government over the controversial statement made by a Shiv Sena MP targeting Muslims, prompting Home Minister Rajnath Singh to say that the Centre in no way endorses such comments which encourage discrimination on religious lines, the PTI reported.
