New Delhi: A day after Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar hit out at Islamabad for “pretending to sleep” and not being serious about the probe into the Pathankot terror attack, Pakistan, Friday, registered an FIR against 7 'unknown persons'.

The FIR was registered in Gujranwala Counter Terrorism Police Station under sections 302,324,109 & 7ATA

The Pakistani authorities chose to not name any individual in the FIR despite India handing over clear evidence on the complicity of Jaish-e Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar.

The evidence includes recordings of phone calls between the terrorists and their handlers in Pakistan, including Azhar.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had formed the six-member investigation team headed by additional inspector general of Punjab's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Rai Tahir in the second week of January to probe the Indian government's assertion that JeM was behind the Pathankot attack.
